Job Title: Senior Software Engineer (Backend & MLOps)

Salary: $200k - $280k + Generous Equity

Location: San Francisco, CA (5-days Onsite)

Responsibilities

  • Design and build scalable infrastructure for machine learning model deployment, inference, and data systems.
  • Contribute across ML infrastructure, backend engineering, and data pipelines, supporting both production and research needs.
  • Lead deployment of large-scale ML and LLM-based systems into customer-facing and on-prem environments.
  • Drive engineering best practices and help build a high-performance, cross-functional team culture.


Requirements:

  • Strong experience in Python, FastAPI, cloud platforms (any major provider), and data engineering.
  • Proven ability to work across ML infrastructure, backend systems, and distributed environments.
  • Prior ownership of enterprise-scale production deployments, with a focus on reliability and usability.
  • Engineering-first mindset, with the option to contribute to research initiatives as desired.
  • Bonus: Built and scaled SaaS or ML platforms handling complex, high-volume enterprise data.
  • Bonus: Designed end-to-end ML systemsfrom data access and training to evaluation and deployment.
  • Bonus: Delivered LLM-powered systems for production use, especially in retrieval or research workflows.
